Amsterdam...and I'm sick

Just got back from Amsterdam. Urgh...I got sick the first day I arrived there. Went to the ER this morning and got an IV drip for 2 hours :( First time getting that...though going to the ER is nothing new for me.

Not a good way to start the year huh? But like Alex said, get all the bad things over with, 2008 will be good :)

Kudos for the NHS. I thought I'd be in trouble 'cause I have no health insurance here, but walked out without paying a cent.

Still feeling fizzy and nauseous. Sewing kit needed for my broken doll-like limbs...

Outside the hotel.

At the Rijkmuseum. They have 20 Rembrandts...

Van Gogh museum.

Canal walks.

At some random NY style bar, forgot the name.

At Jimmy Woo. Supposedly one of the best clubs in the world. I really don't know what the fuss is all about. Maybe because we went on a Thursday and walked straight in and the staff were friendly. The place looks very HK gangster, I love how they made "Chinese" so "in". Much smaller than it looks on the website, but cozy. Plus they played old-school R&B, I think I'd actually go back there...

Anne Frank House.

Dam Square.

That's all kids. No, I didn't go to the red light district, didn't smoke anything, didn't eat any mushrooms or cakes...

Ahh I feel so sick. Enough of winter already. Can't wait to go to sunny Auckland, it'll be just what I need.

Ang Lee about his movie Lust, Caution:
"We're fooled by our own desire. That's what `Lust, Caution' really means. You need caution to watch over your desires, to wise up. But who has caution? That's why we're fools for love."
